Show a Little Puppy Love

We understand that pets are like family. They’re just as important as any two-legged member of your family (maybe even more important). We get it! (That's why the Glen at Hunters Run is pet-friendly)They should be treated as such too. It’s important to show your pets that you appreciate them and love them as much as everyone else you live with. This week, in honor of Pet Day (April 11th), show them a little extra love! We’re certain they’ll return the favor.

Walmart located in Williston will have the goods you need to shower your pet in love and affection. Whether it be a dog, cat, mouse, bird, or fish, they’ll have something there for you to give your pet. A tasty treat or a fun toy, they’ll have it and we know your pet will love it. While the trip to Walmart is a bit of a trip from the Glen at Hunters Run, it will most definitely be worth it to see your pet light up with joy. If that’s a bit too much of a drive, we recommend REALLY pampering your pup with some people food. Maybe a juicy steak or a tender chicken breast from CashWise cooked up just for them! They’ll eat it up in one bite and look at you for more but we’re sure it’s worth it.

Dogs need lots of exercise. It keeps them healthy and, most importantly, happy. There is a lot of open space for roaming about around Watford City but 20 minutes away you’ll find the BEST place to let your pup run around: Theodore Roosevelt National Park. Take them with you hiking through the forests and playing in the lake, but make sure to keep your pet on their leash. Dogs are required to be restrained at all times while in the park. It is also recommended that you keep your pet away from the bison as dogs have been known to agitate the bison. Your pup will have a blast running around in the open air with you by their side.

Just because they’re covered in fur and walk on four legs doesn’t mean they’re any less a part of your family than anyone else. Most families with pets will tell you that their pets are at the center of their family unit. So we should treat them that way!

How do you show your pets extra appreciation? Tell us on Facebook and Twitter and make sure to share photos of your pets too!
